Madhya Pradesh School Education Department’s radio programme to teach English

 

Bhopal : The School Education Department’s radio programme to teach English language to students of Class I to VIII in schools of Madhya Pradesh is being aired regularly since July. Apart from these programmes, two other radio programmes ‘Jhilmil’ and ‘Meena ki Duniya’ will also be broadcast for the intellectual development of children.

Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra has written to the District Project Coordinators to ensure that students of the Government Primary and Middle Schools in various districts listen to these programmes. The letter makes it clear that the government schools that do not have a radio should purchase one immediately. Teachers must tell students about the importance of radio programmes.

Akashvani Kendras in State are airing programme English is Fun Lable -1 for Class I and II from Monday to Friday daily from 12 noon to 12.30 noon and programme English is Fun Lable – 2 from 12.30 noon to 1 pm for Class III to V daily from Monday to Wednesday. Besides, Jhilmil programme is being aired for Class III to V from 12.30 pm to 1 pm every week on Thursday and Saturday. Meena ki Duniya programme is being aired for students of Class VI to VIII from 2.45 pm to 3 pm. This programme is being aired every week from Monday to Friday. Meena ki Duniya programe has been prepared to instill social values in children.
