10-Day EDP concludes at JKEDI Reasi
REASI : The 10-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under Mission Youth’s Tejaswini (The Radiant) livelihood scheme for women, concluded today at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s (JKEDI) district centre Reasi.
The EDP was organized by the JKEDI for the aspiring female entrepreneurs of Reasi district. During the 10- Day EDP, the candidates were apprised about basic business concepts like business plan formulation, marketing plans, accounts management, and many other topics of relevance. This is the 5th batch to pass out under the Tejaswini scheme this year.
Cluster Head J&K Bank Reasi Ravi Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
He urged the educated unemployed women of the district to come forward and take advantage of different self-employment schemes (SES) launched by the government of the U T to overcome the unemployment issue in the district.
While distributing certificates among the candidates, he said that unemployment was a serious issue and entrepreneurship is the only solution to this problem. He also held one to one interaction with the aspiring entrepreneurs and apprised them about various opportunities available for women entrepreneurs in J&K.
Tejaswini Livelihood Scheme is a special endeavor of Mission Youth, J&K Government to empower the young women by helping them to become self-reliant. Sharing their experiences at the valediction ceremony, the female entrepreneurs said that the training programme has given them a great deal of confidence to start their entrepreneurial journey.
The EDP was conducted under the overall supervision of Director J&K EDI Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, IAS. District nodal officer J&K EDI Sorab, Anil Sudan, Executive- Cluster Office J&K Bank Reasi, Hari Bhushan, Coordinator JKEDI among others were present on the occasion.
