14 day preliminary Yoga Training culminates at Kishtwar
Kishtwar: The 14 day preliminary training for the yoga instructors concluded today here at officer of the Indian System of Medicines.
The intensive 14 day long preliminary yoga training which was meant for yoga instructors started on 18th January under the supervision and management of District Officer AYUSH/ District Nodal officer ISM, Dr. Tariq Hussain to educate and orient them for ensuring the on ground implementation of the yoga practices at ISM health and wellness centres (HWC) of district Kishtwar.
Master Yoga trainer, Dr Monika Sharma and Yoga therapist Anil Kumq imparted training to Yoga Instructor Richa Sharma on various aspects of the yoga ranging from the Yoga Asana to Meditation techniques.
“The main purpose of the 14 day Training programme was to impart the Yogic instructors a basic knowledge of Yoga philosophy from relevant rich yogic textual heritage, and application in the prevention and management of lifestyle diseases like diabetes, thyroid, stress etc in HWC setting and community settings including the schools,” informed District Officer AYUSH Dr Tariq Hussain.
He further informed that the course consisted of classroom based training of 84 hours and the method of instruction consisted of lectures, Audio-visual presentation and practical demonstrations.
At the end of the training, a post training assessment session which includes MCQ theory paper and practical was also conducted, he informed.
