15-Day Skill training programme on Scientific Sheep & Goat Rearing concludes at Budgam
Development of societies associated with sheep & goat rearing focus of administration: ADC
BUDGAM : 15 Days Skill development programme on Scientific Sheep and Goat Rearing organised under Aspirational block development programme 2022-23 concluded on Thursday at Sheikh-Ul Alam Conference Hall, Budgam.
About 48 farmers from Aspirational blocks of Surasyar and Pakherpora of district Budgam participated in a programme that was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Budgam in collaboration with Sheep Husbandry Department Budgam.
The training programme was aimed to build entrepreneurial mindset among the youth and develop their skills so that they can launch their own business ventures.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmad was the chief Guest at the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on the need of skill development in self employment generation. He further emphasized on the need of using scientific practices in improving the livelihood of farmers.
Dr. Mir Nadeem Hassan (Course Coordinator) presented a detailed overview of the training.
Dr. Mohd. Ashraf Baba, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Budgam also held a detailed interaction with the farmers.
During the programme participation certificates and first aid kits were also distributed among the trainees.
The programme was also attended by Sr. Scientist & Head KVK Budgam, Dr. Bilal Ahmad Lone, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Budgam, Dr. M Ashraf Baba and Scientists of the Kendra besides Block Development Officers of Sheep Husbandry Department Budgam.
