20,000 students celebrated their talents at VIBGYOR’s VIVA 14

Mumbai : The VIBGYOR Group of Schools, a leading chain of K-12 schools, hosted the grand finale of the 14th edition of Viva, its annual inter-school cultural and sports festival, in Mumbai. The theme of the festival, “Give wings to your talent,” encouraged children to showcase their skills and engage in their favourite creative pursuits. The spectacular celebration was streamed live on VIBGYOR’s YouTube channel and featured riveting performances by students from across the country.

 

6,300 schools and 20,000 students from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi NCR competed in the qualifying and knockout rounds. The finalists in events such as Voice of Viva, Swing n Swirl (Solo and Group), Viva Nova also participated in the grand finale. The winners of VIVA 14 are:

The final events were judged by an eminent jury, including successful & industry-leading choreographers, classical dance artists, fashion models, singers, musicians, TV celebrities, and filmmakers. There was a wide range of thrilling competitions, including Viva Nova, Voice of Viva, Swing n Swirl, Sports, Short film making and many others. In addition to this, there were several webinars on topics including Technology, Early Years Education, Performing Arts, DIY Art and Craft, Science, Mathematics, Media and Communication, Fashion, Acting and Drama, National Security, Business and Economy, Health and Nutrition and many more.

 

Congratulating the winners and participants at the grand finale, Kavita Sahay Kerawalla, Vice Chairperson, VIBGYOR Group of Schools said, “After 2 long years of organising Viva online, this year we are back to the physical format, and nothing can replace this feeling of engaging with the audience in-person. Excited young competitors in the Viva 14 Grand Finale were bursting with verve, vitality, and great fervour. The stage and the evening came alive with the exceptional talent showcased by these budding artists. Their performances were a testimony to what VIBGYOR Viva is all about. I am sure that Viva has provided them with an opportunity to sparkle and dazzle the audience and moreover, provided a platform to carve their pathway to future careers and success. Lastly, I would like to congratulate all the winners and participants as well as the judges. We will be back soon with Viva 15, with a promise to continue this exceptional experience.”

 

The proceedings ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shim Mathew, Director – Academic Operations & International Partnerships. All winners were bestowed with cash prizes and trophies.
