3-day fun fitness programme “Get Fit and Don’t Quit” concluded
Aligarh : The University Women’s Polytechnic successfully concluded a 3-day fun fitness programme titled “Get Fit and Don’t Quit” from February 20th to 22nd. Aimed at enhancing participation spirit, alleviating stress, and advocating physical activity, the programme witnessed enthusiastic engagement from both faculty members and students.
The inaugural session on Day 1 featured “Zumba & Aerobics,” led by fitness instructor Ms. Farha. With over 70 participants actively involved, the virtual workout proved highly motivating and enjoyable, underscoring the positive effects of Zumba on fitness.
Day 2, centred on “Power Yoga & Meditation,” fostering holistic wellness by integrating physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. The session saw active participation from students and faculty, who embraced various Asanas and meditation practices.
The final day, continued the momentum with “Fun & Reaction Games,” aiming to bolster mental health and overall well-being. Activities like ball relay races and human bridge ball races facilitated positive interaction and communication among the approximately 60 participants.
Dr. Salma Shaheen, Principal of the University Women’s Polytechnic and Convener of the programme, along with the organising committee members, including Dr. Sheeba Manzoor and organising secretaries Ms. Sadia Naim, Ms. Fauzia Khan, and Ms. Ikra Salim, ensured the event’s success in promoting a healthier and more integrated community.
