3-days training program on Bio-Security &good laboratory practices concludes

Ganderbal: To sensitize and upgrade the capacity of staff & workers associated with the production of Frozen Semen straws at FSP, Rainbirbagh, Ganderbal, a 3-days training programme on Livestock Health, Hygiene & Good Laboratory Practices, conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department concludeshere today.
Emphasizing the importance of Bio-Security in such sensitive and sophisticated biological production Institutes, especially in view of recent bio security challenge being faced by China, including Noval Corona viral epidemic & recent Bird flu outbreak reported in Odhisa. He proposed to set up a special perennial fooder grass demonstration plot on the farm land of the Frozen Semen Project with the help of ICAR- Indian Grassland & Fodder Research Institute, Srinagar.
Purnima Mittal, Director Animal Husbandry, Kashmir while presenting certificates to the participants, assured all required support for upgradation of the Frozen Semen Project for achieving highest standards of biological production.
Dr. Ramesh Razdan, Joint Director FSP while explaining the revised Layout of the project emphasized for early construction of Chain Link Fencing and Brick Walling of the whole Project, the prime requisite for achieving acceptable level of Bio-Security of the Project.
