65th National School Taekwondo Championship concludes in Vidisha
Bhopal : School Education Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhury and Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Jaivardhan Singh gave away the prizes to the winners of the 65th National School Taekwondo Championship in Vidisha. Former Union Minister Shri Suresh Pachouri was present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Minister Dr. Chaudhary informed that an amount of Rs 70 crores has been provided to purchase sports material to encourage sports in schools. An amount of Rs 5 thousand has been released to each primary school, Rs 10 thousand to middle school and Rs 25-thousand each to high school and higher secondary school. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Singh also addressed the function.
Maharashtra state bagged the Overall Championship with 60 points in the 65th National School Taekwondo Championship. Sikkim state was awarded the Best Discipline Display. In the Boys Category, Uttar Pradesh stood first with total 29 points and second with 14 points. Gujarat team stood third with 12 points. In girls category in various competitions, Maharashtra stood first with 31 points, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan stood second with 12 points and Andhra Pradesh came third with 10 points.
