7-year old world’s youngest author becomes the first Indian kid to ink a four-book deal

New Delhi: 7-year-old Abhijita Gupta, the world’s youngest author, has become the first Indian child to sign a deal with the Invincible for her four upcoming books and she has already received a part of the royalty payment for the first 10,000 copies of her book. Abhijita also unveiled the cover of her second book- ‘We Will Surely Sustain.’ The 7-year-old Abhijita Gupta has been recognized as the world’s youngest author by the International Book of Records. The Asia Book of Records has conferred on her title of the ‘Grandmaster in Writing.’ According to the India Book of Records, she is the youngest author to write poetry and prose spark tutoring.

 

“I am glad that my book has been appreciated and recognized by the publisher. I like to write what I see and hear around. I hope that this book will also get all the love from the readers”, said Abhijita Gupta.

 

Abhijita is the only daughter of proud parents – Ashish Gupt and Anupriya Gupta and lives in Ghaziabad. Her mother, Anupriya Gupta, an engineer- turned-entrepreneur, said: “It is a commendable achievement. We are extremely proud of our daughter and will continue supporting her in every leg of her writing journey.”

 

Abhijita began writing at the tender age of five. Hailing from the third generation of the renowned poet to writer duo- Rashtrakavi shri Maithilisharan Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaramsharan Gupt, Abhijita has a flair for creativity.

 

She penned her first book amid the COVID-19 lockdown. Titled ‘Happiness All Around,’ it is an anthology of short stories and poems with illustrations. It is being acclaimed widely among kids.
