Every eligible beneficiary should get benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana:CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Bhopal :Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that beneficiaries eligible under Ayushman Bharat Yojana get free treatment facility up to Rs. 5 lakhs in a year. Most diseases are covered under this scheme. Every eligible beneficiary of the state should receive the benefits of the scheme. Campaign should be launched to make “Ayushman Card”. In Madhya Pradesh, this scheme will be launched under the name of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Yojana.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was taking a meeting of Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Mantralaya today. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manoj Govil etc. were present in the meeting.
One crore 49 lakh Ayushman cards, 5.85 crore beneficiaries
Additional Chief Secretary Health said that Ayushman cards have been made for as many as one crore 49 lakh people in the state. Under the scheme, cards of about 5.85 crore poor and middle class people of the state are to be made. This year, cards of 60 percent of these people are targeted to be made.
Cashless treatment facility in 717 hospitals
A total of 717 government and allied private hospitals in the state have the facility of cashless treatment for beneficiaries eligible under the scheme. Now Covid treatment can also be provided under this.
Now cards will also be made through panchayats and urban bodies
Till now, one had to go to Lok Seva Kendras and common service centres to get Ayushman cards made, apart from the affiliated government and private hospitals, but Government of India has given approval to panchayats and urban bodies to make the cards.
More and more private hospitals should be affiliated
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that more and more private hospitals should be affiliated under this scheme, so that patients can get treatment anywhere as per their convenience. At present, 282 private hospitals are affiliated in the state, whereas in Uttar Pradesh 1542 are affiliated, 1498 in Rajasthan, 1243 in Maharashtra and 802 in Gujarat are affiliated.
Payment of Rs 561 crore
Under the scheme, 60 percent of the expenditure is incurred by the Central government and 40 percent by the State government for getting treatment in government hospitals. On the other hand, for treatment in private hospitals 100 percent payment is made by the government. So far, payment of Rs 561 crore has been made in 4 lakh 14 thousand 509 cases in the state.
