Hundred Forty Years’ old American Livingstone College & LPU sign MoU
Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University has signed another important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Livingstone College of Salisbury at North Carolina in the United States. The Mayor of Salisbury, Ms Karen K. Alexander witnessed the signing ceremony held at LPU Campus. This collaboration is to create more international opportunities for students of both of the top institutions, which are to work on student exchange programmes and joint research projects. Students of computer science, management and law programmes will be much benefitted through this tie-up. In the initial stage, seven students of LPU will join Livingstone College with expenses including tuition fees, accommodation and food.
On this occasion, delegation from Livingstone College to LPU included Associate Vice- President (Student Affairs) Tony Baldwin; Vice-President of Communications and Public Relations Dr State W. Alexander; and, Dean School of Business Administration Dr Rajeshwar Dayal Sharma were present to sign the MoU. High-Profiled guests also appreciated the exemplary art work created by LPU Performing Art students, during the whole academic year. Students had showcased these creations as an art exhibition, which was inaugurated by Mayor Ms Karen.
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared that LPU is creating more and more international opportunities for its students’ perfect development so that they may prove themselves as globally fit citizens. Vice-President Dr Alexander also expressed his happiness in having collaboration with one of the top university of India.
Illustrative, having a long history of about hundred and forty years of great educational and allied endeavours, Livingstone College has forwarded notable leaders to the global society in diverse fields. The College offers a number of opportunities for students to participate in various social, cultural, recreational, and athletic activities. Additionally, outstanding artists and educationists are brought to campus to perform each year for students.
