The development of student sports in the Arctic was discussed in the “Boiling Point”

A round table in a hybrid format was held on the topic “Development of student sports in the Arctic, the Far North and areas equated to them.”
Representatives of Petrozavodsk State University, sports federations of Karelia, physical education teachers and students of secondary vocational education in Petrozavodsk, specialists from the Sports Training Center, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan gathered at the site “Boiling Point – Petrozavodsk”.

The event was moderated by the vice-rector of PetrSU for educational and social work Vasily Kuzmich Katarov. The director of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism V.M. Kirilina, Deputy Director of the Institute of Physical Culture and Technology L.M. Kieleväinen, teachers, staff of the institute.

ACSC Russia was represented by the Executive Director Evgenia Bychkova and the coordinator for the Northwestern and Central Federal District Alexei Mitenev.

The work of the round table was divided into two parts: official and practical. In the second part, the issues of organizing student sports clubs in secondary vocational schools and universities of Karelia were actively discussed.
