“Familiar unfamiliar London”: an interactive lesson for schoolchildren
As part of the work of the base department of the Institute of Foreign Languages, Valeria Dmitrieva, Senior Lecturer of the English Language Department of the Institute of Foreign Languages at PetrSU, conducted an interactive lesson for the 10th grade students of the Gymnasium No. 17 named after BY. Corgana.
Lyudmila Evgenievna Vyatkina, an English teacher, shared her impressions:
The English lesson was a breeze. Pupils learned a lot about London, as there is not enough regional information in the textbooks of the new generation. Some of the sights of London were a real discovery for students. The great value of the lesson consisted in the use of interactive and group work modes, quizzes, clarity, work with a map of London.
Valeria Arkadyevna lived in this wonderful city and can tell very brightly and fascinatingly about the capital of Great Britain.
Pupils of 10 “B” grade are ready to continue working on the theme “Travel. London”, they plan to present their mini-projects on this topic. We are ready to cooperate with V.A. Dmitrieva in this direction. We express our gratitude for the meeting, class and positive communication!
