All-Russian online conference “Distance learning: experience, problems, prospects”

Topical issues of distance learning were discussed at PetrSU. The All-Russian Online Conference “Distance Learning: Experience, Problems, Prospects” was held. The conference was organized by the teachers of the Department of Russian History T.V. Bauer, Yu.N. Zelenskaya, O. Yu. Repukhova, I. V. Shorokhov and the Council of Teachers of History and Social Science, created on the basis of the Department of National History of the Institute of Social and Social Sciences of PetrSU on December 23, 2020.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Expert Council on the management of the knowledge economy under the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, the Pacific State University, Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, Petrozavodsk State University, Karelian Institute for the Development of Education, Museum of History and Local Lore of the Pechenga District of the Murmansk Region. Teachers of educational organizations of basic general and secondary general education in Kaliningrad, Petrozavodsk, Pskov, Khabarovsk shared their experience in the format of distance learning.

At the section “Distance learning as one of the forms of organizing the educational process” (moderator – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor O. Yu. Repukhova), the problems of motivation in distance learning, the specifics of teaching core disciplines in a distance format, the transformation of FOS social and humanitarian disciplines in the context of distance education at a university, the experience of Russia and Finland in the organization and implementation of distance education in schools.

The section “Electronic resources and technologies of distance learning in modern education” (moderator – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Yu.N. Zelenskaya) became a platform for the exchange of experience in the use of various distance educational technologies. Colleagues shared their impressions of using the capabilities of e-learning courses, Microsoft Teams, SkySmart, as well as the YouTube channel and infographics in the educational process. Interest was aroused by the reports devoted to the specifics of work in the conditions of distance learning of departmental educational organizations (Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School). A separate report highlighted the attitude of students in grades 7 and 8 to distance learning.

The conference was held on the Zoom platform.

All conference participants received certificates and letters of thanks.
