PetrSU teachers held master classes by correspondence with foreign friends for the students of the Lomonosov gymnasium.
Classes with schoolchildren were the first stage in the implementation of the joint project Mit freundlichen Grüßen (“With friendly greetings”).

Students of the Lomonosov gymnasium have mastered the skills of correspondence with foreign friends. Under the guidance of the teachers of the Department of German and French Languages of Petrozavodsk State University, the schoolchildren plunged into the history of the culture of writing, learned about the peculiarities of preparing messages, and repeated certain speech formulas.

The study of the topic of foreign-language friendly letters, in the opinion of all participants in the educational process, turned out to be an exciting occupation. “What can you tell in a personal message, and what should you keep silent about? What speech patterns are usually used in such cases? How to properly draw up a letter to a foreign friend?” – these and other questions were answered by the teachers of PetrSU during the master classes.

Classes with students of the seventh and eighth grades were held in German. As a result of the work, the guys successfully passed the test and prepared their first letters to future penpals from Germany.

We add that the meeting with the teachers of the university in the Lomonosov gymnasium was held within the framework of the Mit freundlichen Grüßen project (“With friendly greetings”). The initiative is aimed at improving the writing and speech skills of schoolchildren studying German, as well as supporting friendly communication between young people in Russia and Germany.
