Ramban District to impose fine on people without face-masks

Ramban: District Magistrate, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today authorized the various officers to impose a fine of Rs. 300 on the persons roaming in public places and gatherings without wearing face masks.

The order has been issued keeping in view the second wave of Covid-19 and after two persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the district.

“It is extremely important to ensure strict implementation of all preventive measures such as 100 percent use of face mask and maintaining physical distancing at public places across the district to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection” the order reads.

Tehsildars, Panchyats, Khilafwarzi Officers of MC, Inspectors of Transport Department, Sub Inspectors of Police, Tehsil Supply Officers and IPO of DIC have been authorized to impose fine upon the defaulters.
