Aligarh Muslim University alumnus donates carpets

Aligarh: Engineer Jawed Iqbal Siddiqui, former Honorary Secretary, Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA), Lucknow has donated 7 carpets (60×4 ft) to the mosque at the K A Nizami Centre for Quranic Studies. He recently visited the centre along with a delegation of AMUOBA’s members and met Professor M M Sufyan Beg (Director, AMU Alumni Affairs Committee) who had facilitated this visit.

AMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Tariq Mansoor thanked Er Siddiqui for his generous donation saying that AMU alumni have been a source of strength and inspiration.

Prof A R Kidwai, Director, KA Nizami Centre said that with the donation of carpets, more space will be available in the mosque, which is attended by more than 200 students and staff for daily prayers.
