IMI New Delhi organizes its cultural Fest – Kritva on the theme of ‘Prism of Perception’

New Delhi: IMI New Delhi, one of India’s most reputed B-schools, hosted its flagship 3 day event – Kritva 2018 at its Delhi campus. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, Director General, IMI-New Delhi and Apurva Chamaria, HCL Technologies, VP, Corporate Marketing.

The inauguration commenced with lamp lighting by the Director General and Mr. Apurva Chamaria, Head Global services HCL, who was the ‘Guest of Honor’ along with the faculty members and the students, followed by a narration of conception of Kritva, as a concept of being doers and having a synthesis of management and culture. Mr. Apurva Chamaria elaborated on the importance of meaning of word ‘Kritva’ which signifies action and was coined to differentiate IMI from other B schools.

Sharing his views on the importance of events like Kritva, Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, Director General, IMI-New Delhi said, “Kritva not only provides a platform to bring out the diverse talent of multifaceted students but also uses unbridled creativity & energy latent in them, in a focused manner .” He further stressed on the fact that the management thought and learning in organizing a mega event is integrated very well with the classroom leaning. The annual management-cum-cultural event engaged the attendees to participate in numerous activities simultaneously. With a footfall of over 2000 enthused attendees, the event celebrated the close of each day with a hearty concert and send off its guest pupils with stories to tell.

Kritva, an event of amalgamation of quick thinking, analytical skills and creativity, offered a platform to the business leaders of tomorrow to learn and hone the various skills that are the determinants of success in the industry today. The 72 hour fest featured a gamut of sessions ranging from business simulations and case studies to cultural events like Star Night with Sukhbir. It witnessed cultural performances by the students of IMI, performances by Enthrall and In Sync (the societies of IMI, New Delhi) and Umeed (NGO).

Events like Lanthrash, Expressions, TNT, Eco Mafia and Samadhan, Excalibur, Concetto, Fin Charades, Gladius also featured in the list of events that took place over the period of three days.

Themed as ‘Prism of Perception’, the event emphasized on how perception and reality might differ and vary, based on the way we observe and analyze our surroundings. It enable the participants to apply their theoretical knowledge while constantly thinking on their feet.
