Covid Bulletin: 1040 vaccinated, 542 samples collected in Ramban District

Ramban: As many as 1040 persons were administered first and second Covid vaccine doses across Ramban district today.

The Health Department also collected 542 samples including 206 RT-PCR and 336 RAT samples in the district.

As per daily bulletin issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Ramban, Dr. Mohammad Farid Bhat, 1040 persons were administered Covid vaccine across the district at dedicated Vaccination Centres. The vaccination has been intensified following reduction in age from 60 years to 45 years in the age-appropriate category beginning April 1, the CMO added.

The District Administration Department has urged people over the age of 45 years to visit their nearest CVC to get themselves vaccinated. It has also decided to intensify the drive to enforce face mask wearing at crowded places to prevent the infection from spreading.

In another decision, the Health Department shall mandatorily test patients who report at various health institutions in the district with respiratory tract infection.
