ICDS Ramban organizes awareness programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

Ramban : Intensifying its awareness activities, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Ramban, today organized a series of informative events on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Poshan Abhiyan besides capacity building under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) across the district.

During the capacity building programme, Anganwari Workers, Helpers, ANMs and Supervisors were sensitized by Resource Persons about effective implementation of Maternity Benefit Programme ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’ popularly known as a flagship scheme of the Central Government. They were also educated about various components of the scheme including cash incentive for Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers (PW&LM) so that they can take adequate rest before and after delivery of the first living child besides making them more health conscious.

The Department also organized awareness programme to make people aware about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Poshan Abhiyan to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers besides providing better atmosphere to girls for their overall personality development.

Interactive sessions were also held in which Anganwari Workers, Helpers, ANMs and Supervisors shared their experience with each other besides highlighting their queries and doubts which were cleared by the resource persons.
