Participation of PetrSU students in the development of social tourism in Karelia

On May 25, the Department of Tourism of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism took part in the conference “Affordable tourism for the older generation”.
Students of the 1st year, within the framework of educational practice, helped in the registration of conference guests and accompanying (supervisor TS Dmitrieva). The conference summed up the results of the project “Accessible tourism for the older generation” School of Travelers “, Dmitry Bobrov, project manager of the ANO” Center for the Development of Social Tourism “, spoke about its results.

The participants of the conference got acquainted with excursion programs of museums and routes in Pryazhinsky, Medvezhyegorsky and Lakhdenpohsky districts. Anna Ivanovna Belan introduced the conference participants to the projects of the Department of Tourism in the field of developing tourist routes for the older generation. Olga Afonina, undergraduate student of the department (scientific supervisor V.S.Plotnikova, candidate of pedagogical sciences .. associate professor), presented the results of her research on the availability of cultural, historical, museum organizations and accommodation facilities in Petrozavodsk for organizing tourist routes.

After the completion of the work, there was an opportunity to get acquainted with the photo exhibition “My Karelia”.
