The Yoga Institute Mumbai helping Ministry of Ayush with free distribution of Ayurvedic formulation AYUSH-64 for COVID patients

Mumbai: The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, Mumbai — the world’s oldest organized centre of Yoga– is helping the Ministry of Ayush in its initiative of free distribution of AYUSH-64, an Ayurvedic formulation that can be used as an adjunct treatment by asymptomatic, mild and moderate patients of COVID-19.  AYUSH0-64 is an Ayurvedic formulation developed by the Central Council for Research in Sciences (CCRAS) under the guidance of Ministry of Ayush, and is being provided free of cost by the ministry through the Yoga Institute in Mumbai across four hours every day, seven days a week.

Ma (Dr) Hansaji Jayadev Yogendra, Director of The Yogi Institute, said, “I really appreciate the efforts put in by the Ministry of Ayush for producing AYUSH 64, a poly-herbal formulation certified by CCRAS as containing anti-viral and immune-boosting properties, and beneficial as a complimentary treatment in combination with the current treatment plan for asymptomatic, moderate, and mild Covid-19 cases without any side effects.

“The Yoga Institute is now distributing Ayush 64 for free at our campus. Anyone tested positive can avail of this medicine for free from us,” Ma Hansaji said.

HOW TO RECEIVE AYUSH-64 FREE OF COST IN MUMBAI:

To receive the special formulation, a patient’s caregiver or relative must visit the Yoga Institute Mumbai at Shri Yogendra Marg, Prabhat Colony, Santacruz East, Mumbai 400055, between 10 am and 12 noon, or between 4 pm and 6 pm any day of the week, along with the required patient-documents of RTPCR positive test report copy and patient’s Aadhar Card. The AYUSH-64 bottle will be handed over against an authorization letter with relative’s ID document countersigned by the patient and authorizing the relative to collect the AYUSH-64 bottle free of cost for and on behalf of the patient.

The Yoga Institute has been at the forefront when it comes to helping and supporting masses during times of need, and even the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has not been able to hinder its  determination and dedication to spread the awareness and benefits of Yoga to everyone including COVID-recovery patients.

It will be recalled that most recently, The Yoga Institute had launched a very special, free yoga program  exclusively for COVID patients to assist them in their speedy recovery so they can get back on track with their lives.  The unique program is still being delivered in person at the COVID Centre at Kole Kalyan Police Training Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

In the past too, there have been several free yoga initiatives undertaken by The Yoga Institute with the sole purpose of spreading the goodness and benefits of Yoga to as many people as possible.

The Yoga Institute was established in 1918 by its founder, the legendary   Yoga Guru Shri Yogendraji, who worked tirelessly to propagate ‘Householder Yoga’ with the mission to make Yoga accessible and beneficial to each and every householder in the world.  This laudable mission is now spearheaded by the Director of The Yoga Institute, Dr. Ma Hansaji J Yogendra, who is highly respected for her charismatic personality and years of expertise in Yogic knowledge and wisdom.
