An international team of journalists has visited the University of Tyumen. The event was co-organized with the news portal Russia Today. Journalists from China, Vietnam, Lebanon, India, and Russia have covered the event.
Wang Xiujun (China, KIA Novosti) pointed out:
“I learned a lot about the university and noticed that the University of Tyumen is not only a leader in the region but in some respects in Russia as well. I was impressed by the educational model of the School of Advanced Studies. The dorms for international students surprised me too. I think students at Moscow live in more modest conditions.”
Journalists interviewed scientists, teachers, and students. The event culminated in a tour around Tyumen. Guests appreciated the hospitality and tourism potential of the city.
Salcines Sin Fernando de Jesus (Spain, EFE news agency) noted:
“Tyumen is a stunning city. Quite frankly, I didn’t have any expectations, but the city blew me away. I wish to return and connect with locals to see what Tyumen people are like in ordinary life.”
