The University of Aberdeen strengthens its collaboration with Study Group, to offer a combined visa for students joining pathway programmes
New Delhi : The University of Aberdeen and Study Group’s University of Aberdeen International Study Centre have announced the reinforcement of their collaboration by offering a new combined visa for students joining the International Year Two or Pre-Masters programmes from autumn 2021 and onwards. The combined visa will allow students to save time, money, and experience a seamless transition into their choice of degree at the university campus by studying their pathway programme and university degree with a single visa.
The visa also offers alternatives to Academic IELTS for UKVI to join the programmes at Study Group’s University of Aberdeen International Study Centre, including Duolingo, Indian XII Standard and Pearson. Students can work for up to 20 hours per week while in the UK, so they can enhance their CV and graduate prospects during their course. There will be no additional requirement of taking an IELTS test before joining the degree or returning home to apply for a new visa between their Study Group International Study Centre programme and the chosen degree at the University of Aberdeen.
The University of Aberdeen International Study Centre offers a variety of pathway programmes for students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Aberdeen. Its three-term International Year Two programme provides an accelerated route to the third year of a four-year undergraduate degree in Business Management and Finance, and Computing Science and is designed to support overseas students who perform well above the level needed for entry to the Undergraduate Foundation Programme. The Pre-Masters programme is a fast-track 12-week course to deepen students’ academic knowledge and improve their English language skills. The programmes are available in two subject routes – Business and Law, and Science and Engineering.
The International Study Centre offers scholarships of up to £2,500 for students enrolling on the International Year Two or Pre-Masters programme (this is subject to availability and should be requested at the point of application). The University of Aberdeen is also delighted to offer undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, a £5,000 tuition fee discount for every year of study. Self-funded students with ordinarily resident status in India is eligible for these scholarships.
