Padh Yatra marks celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav at Palmar

KISHTWAR : To celebrate the 75 years of India’s Independence, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, a Padh yatra was today taken out here at block Palmar.

The Padh yatra started from higher secondary school Palmar under the overall supervision of District Youth services and Sports officer Kharati Lal Sharma.

District Development Council Member Palmar, Tahir Hussain, who was the chief guest, flagged off the Padh Yatra in presence of I/C ZPEO Nagsani, Suresh Chander Parihar and Block incharge Vijay Parihar PET.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Tahir Hussain said that the independence was achieved after a hard struggle by our freedom fighters. He appreciated the role of sports department Kishtwar in organizing sports activities in far flung areas & providing refreshments to all participants by following covid safety SOPs.
