One-day virtual program to boost India-Poland bilateral trade on Aug 20
Mumbai : In a bid to boost the bilateral trade between India and Poland, a one-day Global Market Access Program (GMAP) will be held virtually on Friday, August 20, 2021 under the auspices of MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai.
The six-hour program titled ‘Poland: Gateway to Central and Eastern European Region’ comes in the backdrop of over 6 percent growth in India’s exports to Poland in 2020-21 during the pandemic period.
Poland is the seventh largest destination for Indian goods in the 27-member European Union bloc with India exporting USD 1.6 billion worth of goods during 2020-21 (Apr-Mar) while importing USD 700 million worth of merchandise from the Central European nation.
The program will be conducted by Mr. Damian Irzyk, Consul General, Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai and Mr. Siddhartha Rastogi, an Expert on Behavioural Finance and Capital Markets.
The two experts will provide an overview of the business climate in the two countries and will individually speak of the strengths and potential sectors for collaboration such as agro and food processing, information technology, textile, mining and energy, pharmaceutical and chemicals, besides, cultural and educational exchanges.
The experts will also share emerging opportunities to forge fruitful collaboration, giving rise to new prospects in India while the participants of GMAP will learn to identify key trends and forces that shape various sectors.
