DSEJ organises Divisional Level Painting Competition

JAMMU : Directorate of School Education Jammu today organised a division level painting competition for the students who had won the district level competition through virtual mode.

Surinder Billoria, renowned Basholi Painting artist and Suman Chib, (painter, artist) from Jammu were the jury members, while Dr. Milan Sharma, HOD Painting, IMFA, University of Jammu; Ankush Kesar, Print Maker, Department of Painting, IMPA, University of Jammu and Pari Mugdha Nishal, last year’s national award winner in 3D Visual Art form were the special guests on the occasion.

Suhani Radhey from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nowabad, district Jammu, Master Akshay Pangotra, High School Karli, district Samba, Abhi Verma, HSS Chak Kahna, district Kathua, Tabeen Roshan, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, district Kishtwar, Diya Katoch, Higher Secondary School Khellani, district Doda Shagun Sharma, Higher Secondary School Batote, district Ramban, Misbah kohli, Government Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal, district Poonch Payal Thakur, Government Higher Secondary School, Kalakote, district Rajouri, Master Nidmaan Arif, Government Higher Secondary School Chenaini, district Udampur and Arushika Thakur, Government Higher Secondary School Dal, district Reasi participated in the event as the winners of the district level competition that was held on 7th of August 2021.

The guests interacted with the participating students and discussed various art forms and painting techniques. In addition to that, they addressed the queries of the students and passed on useful tips to them which would be beneficial in supplementing their skills and talent.

Supriya Sharma was the host and Ashutosh Sharma provided technical support for the event.
