International Student Go Festival will be held in Petrozavodsk

On August 16-22 in the capital of the Republic of Karelia the International Student Go-Festival “Karelia will dream for a long time” will open.  During the week, fans of the game of Go will take part in three tournaments of the all-Russian level: the Student Team Championship of Russia (August 16-17), the Russian Student Championship (August 18-19), the All-Russian competition “Cup of Karelia” (August 21-22).

The opening of the go-festival will take place on August 16 at 10:00 at the Karelia Hotel. In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the competitions are held without spectators.
Representatives of more than ten universities will take part in the student competition. Among the participants in the competition is the team of the Petrozavodsk State University.

The international student go-festival is held by the RPO “Federation of Go of the Republic of Karelia” with the support of the Russian Federation of Go, the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Karelia, Petrozavodsk State University of the Charitable Foundation “Captains.
