DC Ramban discusses modalities for participating in Jammu Haat exhibition at DLEPC meeting

RAMBAN Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today convened District-Level Export Promotion Committee (DLEPC) meeting to discuss the modalities for participating in JAMMU HAAT exhibition to promote agriculture and other export products of the district.

General Manager District Industry Centre, Vishjeet, CAO, Faroq Ahmed, CHO, VK Gupta, District Lead Bank Manager and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

After reviewing the department-wise proposals, the DC directed all Committee members to display their products in Jammu Haat to popularize the local products across the UT as well as country, which will provide a major opportunity for scaling up the market demand of the same.

The DC also held detailed deliberations with the District Officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts, Handloom, KVIB and others, here at a meeting. The meeting listed the terms of reference laid down by the government and to be followed by the district Level Export promotion Committee.

The DC said that a convergence approach among the various departments is required to promote the export of the products and the district level export promotion committee would help in bridging the gaps.
