Private universities should promote research: Higher Education Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the vision behind the establishment of private universities in the state is to prove their brilliance with their own resources, other institutions will follow them. Private universities should also encourage research. Addressing the National Environment Conference organized by RKDF University as the chief guest today, Minister Dr. Yadav said that new experiments at times pose difficulties. Many problems also arise. He said that Swami Vivekananda promoted Karma Yoga. He believed that God can be attained by serving the entire humanity, this is true Karma Yoga.

Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Private Universities Regulatory Commission, Dr. Bharat Sharan Singh said that nature allows us to utilize not exploit. We used to consider trees and plants as part of our family, we use our gardens for auspicious work, but since last few years this trend is disappearing.

On this occasion environmentalist Shri Ashok Pandey said that faith and insistence towards environment has been a part of our lifestyle. Environmental protection was a part of our life. Our lives would see the entire creation in totality, but in the last few years we have begun to worry about the environment, we must consider this.

Special guest in the programme, National Convener of Environment Protection Committee, Shri Gopal Arya, said that the United Nations has decided on working for environmental balance for the next 10 years. He said that the environment is made up of people, forest, land, animals and water. Calling upon everyone to protect the environment, he said that our outlook towards the environment should change. At the same time, we have to be sensitive towards the environment and we also have to change our behaviour.

The programme was addressed by Dr. Sadhna Kapoor, Chancellor of the University and Shri Sunil Kapoor, Chairman, RKDF Group. Minister Dr. Yadav and the guests unveiled the statue of Swami Vivekananda in the university campus. He inaugurated the Acharya J.C. Bose Research Park also.
