Dr. Mishra was the ideal and inspirational personality of the medical world : Chief Minister Shri Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the tribute meeting of late Dr. NP Mishra at Manas Bhawan this evening. On this occasion, he garlanded the photo of Late Dr. NP Mishra and said that Dr. Mishra was the ideal and inspirational personality of the medical world. We will always be indebted to him. Madhya Pradesh will also remember his contribution. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the road in front of Dr. Mishra’s residence at Civil Lines would be named as Dr. NP Mishra Marg.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Dr. Mishra has always given the message of service in the medical world while teaching and explaining the nuances to the junior doctors. Without him this field would be incomplete. He was a studious person. Reading books, assimilating them and then telling junior doctors, was his specialty. He has disciples abroad as well. Dr. Mishra fulfilled the responsibility of treatment very well even in adverse circumstances. When there was no room for even a thousand patients in the hospitals, he provided better treatment to ten thousand patients without panicking. Be it the circumstances after the Gas Tragedy or the Corona period, he always guided the medical world. He has prepared many doctors, who are doing the work of treating various diseases efficiently.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that for the last one and a half year, he used to have discussions with Dr. Mishra on various aspects related to Corona. Important suggestions were received from him. Dr. Mishra was always engrossed in his work while being the Head of the Department, Dean etc. in the Medical College. Even after retirement, he used to take the work of treating patients very seriously. He also had the ability to convince the relatives of the patients. Used to encourage new doctors. He was amazing, he did the work of treating patients till the last stage of his life. The last day also he saw the patients who had come. He was full of confidence. There was a look of confidence in his eyes. Sometimes he used to humour and joke too.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also met Dr. Mishra’s sons Manoj, Sunil and Vishal in the tribute meeting and spoke about the memories associated with their father. Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, many doctors and citizens of the city were present in the tribute meeting. Dr NP Mishra passed away on 5th September last.
