ICDS project Doda organises recipe competition, awareness camp at AWC Tondwah

DODA : In continuation of the different activities in connection with Poshan Maah, ICDS project Doda today organised a recipe competition at Anganwadi Centre Tondwa (Doda). The competition was chaired by District Programme Officer ICDS Shahida Parveen in presence of CDPO, Fahmida Anjum and DIO Mohammad Ashraf Wani.

Awareness regarding the importance of balanced diet for children, pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and adolescent girls was also imparted to the audience.

A beautiful song depicting and highlighting the importance of various food items which are important for women and children in various stages was also sung by Anganwadi workers and supervisors of ICDS Project Doda.

Shahida Parveen DPO, ICDS, while speaking on the occasion, applauded the efforts of CDPO Doda for presenting such a colourful and informative program.

She highlighted the objective of celebration of Poshan Maah and said that the mission of ICDS is to implement a comprehensive, unified strategy to strengthen nutritional content, delivery, outreach and outcome, with renewed focus on developing practices that nurture health, wellness and immunity to disease and malnutrition among target groups.

All staff members of ICDS Project Doda, Supervisors of ICDS project Doda, Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi Helpers of ICDS Doda were also present at the occasion.
