DLSA Reasi conducts Legal Awareness Program

REASI: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi today organized a Legal Awareness Program here at Panchayat Ghar Garan of Katra tehsil .

The program was organised under the aegis of NALSA and as per the directions and guidance of R.N. Watal, Chairman DLSA and Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA.

The Secretary DLSA Reasi explained to the participants the role of Legal Services Institutions in providing Legal Services to the weaker and marginalized sections of the society.

Panel Advocates, V.K. Sharma and Ajay Salalia spoke on the Legal Services Authority Act 1987 and Women Empowerment particularly the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 respectively.

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Panel Advocate, M.S. Mir. The program was attended by BDO Katra, Sarpanch and Panches of Panchayat Garan, Anganwadi Workers, Asha Workers, GRS, PLVs of District Reasi, senior citizens and common masses of Panchayat Garan (Katra).
