Women SHG Members provided with IIBF Certificates at Kishtwar

 

KISHTWAR : Twelve Women Self Help Group members, who have passed the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) Certification exam were today presented IIBF Certificates here at a District level function organised under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav by Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission – UMEED (District Kishtwar) in collaboration with the District Administration, RSETI and CSC centre.

Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar chaired the function and presented the certificates to the pass out women SHG members of Block Kishtwar, Paddar & Nagseni in presence of ADDC, Sham Lal & Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal.

Pertinent to mention that 50000 Trained and IIBF Certified SHG Women have been recognised as BC Agents by the Union Ministry for Rural development.

The event was also attended by LDM Kishtwar, DDM NABARD, Director RSETI, DM CSC, Distt Officer KVIB & UMEED Staff (DPM-FI, BPMs & MIS Assistants).

Later, a review meeting regarding the achievements and functioning of NRLM/UMEED in the district was chaired by ADDC in presence of JDP.

The ADDC being the Nodal officer for NRLM in the District, deliberated on various issues, briefed the forum regarding the UMEED Scheme and stressed on enhancing the livelihood activities in collaboration with other Line Departments.

The event concluded with the discussions, issues and suggestions raised by the SHG Members/ Community Cadre and other participants.
