GDC Sunderbani holds poster making competition, cleanliness drive to mark Gandhi Jayanti

RAJOURI: NCC and NSS units in collaboration with department of sociology of the Government Degree College Sunderbani celebrated 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Nation by holding a Cleanliness drive and poster making competition on the theme “Gandhi’s Philosophy on Non- Violence and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.

A large number of students of the college took active part. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College.

In her address, the Principal stressed upon the relevance of Gandhian Philosophy and said that Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed life for truth, harmony and Non- Violence. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sheraz Kousser, Prof. Sham Lal and Ravi Kumar.

In the poster making competition, 1st position was secured by Abhishek Sasan of B.A- 1st sem, 2nd position went to Abhishek Sharma of B.A- 1st sem and 3rd position was shared by Sakshi Sharma Ist sem and Ansuja Devi from Vth sem.
