International conference “Wooden low-rise housing construction”
An international scientific and practical conference “Wooden low-rise housing construction: economics, architecture and resource-saving technologies” was held at the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences.
More than 60 people from Petrozavodsk (Petrozavodsk State University), Murmansk (Murmansk State Technical University), Norway (Arctic University of Norway, UiT) and Finland (University of Oulu, Joensuu and Tampere schools) took part in the conference.
For the third year the conference is supported by the international project KO 1089 Green Arctic Building (GrAB), implemented under the Kolarctic CBC Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
This year the conference was organized in two sections. In the first section, reports were presented by lecturers from participating universities. The lecturers of the Arctic University of Norway, the University of Oulu, the Murmansk State Technical University and the Petrozavodsk State University acted as speakers.
The moderators of the section were Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction of the Institute of Forest and Mining Construction Sciences of PetrSU, project manager KO 1089 A.A. Kuzmenkov and senior lecturer of the Department of Technology and Organization of the Forestry Complex of the Institute of Forest and Mining Construction Sciences A.O. Ioffe.
At the second section, for the first time, reports were presented by students and masters of Petrozavodsk State University, as well as by Finnish participants: Marina Timonen (Metsakylan yhtenaiskoulu, Tampere) and Olesya Agapova (Joensuun Lyseon Lukio, Joensuu). The section was moderated by M.I. Zaitseva and Yu.V. Nikonov.
The organizing committee of the conference expresses gratitude to the participants for the reports presented and wishes them further success in their research work.
