“Amazon Internet Services and PHD Chamber mission to accelerate SMB Digitization and Education at a mass scale”
New Delhi: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s MSME Committee and Amazon Internet Services Private Limited, empower Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to explore ways to bring the power of digitization to the SMBs in a webinar on “Enabling SMBs through Cloud: A journey to digitization”. Experts delivered educational seminars to MSMEs on go-to-market strategies that allow SMBs to adopt and access technology easily and affordably, with dedicated support.
In his keynote address, Mr. Pradeep Multani, President, PHDCCI, stated that the COVID-19 pandemic continued to be the key driver of cloud adoption as enterprises continue their investments in cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software to improve the resiliency of their business operations and equip them to tackle successive waves of the pandemic.
He also said digital literacy helps Indian SMBs boost their global competitiveness by helping them understand global trends, global practices, and standards, and arranging experience sharing and B2B meetings with SMEs from across the globe.
Mr. Raghavendran Balasubramaniam, Head of SMB Segment, Amazon Internet Services Private Limited delivered the keynote address during the webinar. He said it is increasingly clear that technology adoption and digitization are business imperatives for SMBs to be successful. Technology enables SMBs to achieve their business goals, become more competitive, and emerge as the enterprises of tomorrow. “SMBs will play a critical role in making the Digital India vision a reality as they digitize and adopt cloud technology across their businesses” he said.
Mr. Amit Mehta, Head of AWS Training and Certification, Amazon Internet Services Private Limited said SMBs face a skills challenge, and they can bridge this gap by adopting cloud services to meet their business needs. Mr. H P Kumar, Former CMD, NSIC & Advisor MSME set the context setting and shared the difficulties and challenges faced by the MSMEs on digitization. He also talked about the industry perspective issues by the MSME Sector.
