NEC partner with Microsoft to conduct cloud computing workshop

Delhi: Narasaraopeta Engineering College, Guntur, in partnership with Microsoft Technology Associate, will conduct a workshop on “AZURE Cloud”, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, for engineering students during 14-15 February 2019. The objective of the workshop, sponsored by Microsoft, is to train the participants in the principles and working behind Azure. The cloud service is known for its advanced security, privacy strength, high availability, redundancy, and cost-effectiveness. Also, the workshop will include details about a range of cloud services like computing, analytics, storage and networking. The primary aim of the workshop is to help students to stand out and get hired faster.
The state of Andhra Pradesh is in serious need of a skilled workforce to meet the requirements of the new IT parks coming up in the capital city of Amravati making it imperative for training new comers in line with technological advancement. Leading Tech company – Microsoft has been in the forefront in imparting technical education in the country. Microsoft Technology Associate is a program that provides a role-based certification to students, testing them in various technical roles and areas.
Speaking about the importance of “IT” workshops, NEC Vice-chair- Mr M Chakravarthi said, “Students have to be industry ready. Knowing the subject matter is not enough. We have been conducting industry visits to factories for electrical and mechanical students. This time we want to teach students what all works and tools are used in the IT industry”.

Earlier, the college also had conducted workshops in “Introduction to Programming using HTML & CSS” and “Introduction to Programming using JavaScript” in association with Microsoft Technology Associate from January 28th to 6th Feb 2019 to make students familiar with computer programming. Further, students will be appearing for the MTA exam for the subject of “Database Fundamentals”.

NEC has also been in industry partnership with Microsoft hosting “Microsoft Innovation Centre” on campus and other student assessment programs. A follow-up certification examination was conducted later on.
