Tourism Department sponsors training for staff of private hotels
JAMMU : In its efforts to enrich the Stakeholders associated with Hotel Industry, the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu in collaboration with Food Craft Institute organized a six day Training Program in Housekeeping for the staff of private hotels of Jammu City.
The training was started on November 22, 2021 and concluded today with the distribution of certificates to the trainees by the Director Tourism Vivekanad Rai.
The staff members of over a dozen Hotels and Lodges including M/S Hotel Royal Regency, M/S Nek Hotel, M/S City Top Hotel, M/S Diamond Hotel, M/S Sahil Palace Hotel, M/S New India Pride Hotel, M/S Himalaya Hotel, M/S Jagdamba Hotel, M/S Swarn Lodge and M/S Preeti Lodge were imparted training.
Addressing the participants, Director Tourism said that the training has been conducted to augment the skills of staff in Housekeeping so that professional manpower is created for providing better facilities to the tourists coming to this part of Union Territory of J&K.
The Director Tourism also stressed upon the need of this type of training to the staff and owners of other Hotels also in the months to come. He requested the Principal, Food Craft Institute to submit a concrete proposal in this regard.
