Australian Experts Participated in Health Care seminar at Tanda
Dharamshala: “A seminar on Improving Quality and Safety in Health Care Sector was held at Dr. RP Govt. Medical College, Tanda on 2nd of March 2019,” stated Dr. Bhanu Awasthi, Principal DRPGMC.
Dr. Awasthi stated that the scope of improvement in a health care delivery system needs to be form a part of general discussions and evidence generation across health care settings. With the work environment in the hospitals becoming challenging for health care providers, processes of care require to be contextually standardized and feasible to ensure safety of the patient.
“The government of Himachal Pradesh is committed to ensure quality of health services and patient safety.This seminar therefore is an effort to live up to the standards set by the government in ensuring quality in healthcare,” added Bhanu.
The faculty for the seminar included distinguished speakers like Professor Amrik S. Sohal and Professor Julie Wolform Cox from Monash Business School, Monash University, Australia, Professor Geoffrey S. Cox, Vascular Surgeon, Melbourne Australia and Professor Julie Wolfram Cox from Monash Business School.
The seminar was also attended by the health care staff, Quality consultants of various districts, teaching faculty of Dr. RP Govt. Medical College, Tanda, and health care professionals from Tibetan’s Delek Hospital of Mecleodganj Dharamshala along with surrounding health care facilities from private sector. Dr. Awasthi thanked the visiting faculty for developing the content and format of the seminar and delivering on it, which shows their commitment to the cause.
