GDC Kastigarh holds Mega event to mark naming of institution after martyr Dy SP Aman Thakur

DODA : A mega event was organized today at Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh to mark the naming of the institution after Shaheed DySP Aman Thakur.

The event was attended by PRIs, prominent citizens, parents and family members of Martyr Aman Thakur, District Development Council Doda Vice- Chairperson, DDC member Kastigarh, Tehsildar Kastigarh, Sarpanches of Kastigarh area, Principal of the College, students and all faculty members of the college.

Principal of the college, Prof Surinder Singh Parihar, in his welcome address, highlighted the contribution of Martyr Dy SP Aman Thakur in the Police Department, who sacrificed his life for the safety and security of the nation. In his address, the Principal hailed the parents of the brave soldier.

The Principal also presented a bouquet to the parents of Martyr DySP Aman Thakur .

Others who spoke on the occasion were the father of Martyr DySP Aman Thakur, DDC Vice-chairperson Doda Sangeeta Bhagat, DDC member Kastigarh, Santosha Devi, Sarpanch upper Mundhar Mohd. Shafiq, Sarpanch Dhandal Ghulam Hassan, Sarpanch Gagla Kuldeep Singh, Rashpaul Singh and Pyar Chand Bhagat.

Prof. Ajay Kumar presented the vote of thanks to the audience.

The Programme was anchored by Meenakshi Bhagat & Tousif Akram, the students of the College. The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
