DDC Rajouri reviews performance of PMGSY sector

Sets March 31, 2022 deadline for completing all pending projects

 

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the performance of the PMGSY sector here in a meeting of the concerned officers held in his office chamber.

Taking stock of the progress, the meeting was informed that out of 319 schemes, 251 have been completed while the work on the rest is at different phases of execution.

The DDC asked the concerned Executive Engineers to expedite the pace of work and complete all the pending schemes by or before March 31, 2022 to provide the desired benefits to the public in terms of connectivity.

He also directed the concerned officers to maintain quality while executing the work on the developmental projects for the longevity of the projects.

Land acquisition issues pertaining to the developmental works were also discussed in depth wherein the DDC directed the concerned authorities to resolve the pending issues and remove bottlenecks, if any, on priority so that execution of roads and other projects should not be delayed.

DDC also asked them to take weekly review of the progress on the schemes being carried out in the district and pay field visits to personally monitor the progress.

He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability and transparency and asked for better synergy between departments and executing agencies for better results and timely completion of the works.
