AMUAAQ beat AKTOR by 60 runs in the End of year 2021
Doha : Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) an associate organization (AO) of ICBF under the aegis of the Embassy of India, Qatar played their last league match of Asian Premier League tournament.
A cricket match was played between AMUAAQ and AKTOR on 31st December, 2021 at Old Idle cricket ground under Asian Premier League. The match was won by AMUAAQ by 60 runs.
This was the last League match of both teams. Quarter finalist would be decided after the end of the league match by 7th January 2022. AMUAAQ have the chance to qualify into the Quarter final as they won the last consecutive win with huge margin. This League is being played amongst 24 teams
AMUAAQ won the toss and opted to bat first. AMUAAQ scored 151 all out in 14.1 overs. On the other hand, AKTOR could manage to score 91 runs for 5 in alloted 15 overs and lost the match by 60 runs.This win would be attributed to the well bowling by the bowlers of AMUAAQ .

Chief guest of today’s Match was Dr. Nadeem Jilani ,awarded the Man of the match to Mr. Faizi for all rounder performance. He appreciated the team and managing committee for successful completion of the tenure of official AMUAAQ. After that a Warm up match was also played followed by the official announcement of Election for new managing committee for the session 2022-23 on 7th January 2022. All the members are requested to join with the unified affiliated AMUAAQ AOs of ICBF, Indian Embassy Qatar for effective community service.
Jawed Ahmad, President of AMUAAQ applauded the players and members for their outstanding performances and support. He appreciated the hard work of Mr. Farrukh Ali Farooqi (Head of Sports – AMUAAQ), M. Farman Khan (GS-AMUAAQ) and Vice President Mr. Faisal Naseem presented the highest level of energies in managing their respective teams on the ground. Mr. President Congratulated the captain Mamnoon Ahmad Bangash for the continuous and outstanding performance .This calendar year a total of 24 matches were organized. All the participants and members wishes and greeted for happy new year 2022
Before the match started EHTERAZ status was checked for all the participants and attendees by AMUAAQ Captain and Vice-Captain. Social distancing, Face mask and Sanitizer utilisation maintained as a part of Covid 19 precautionary measures.
A sumptuous breakfast served to all the participants and the match was concluded with awareness discussion on the Topic Covid 19 precautionary measures.
