UTMN: Event dedicated to Lunar New Year held at UTMN
The holiday concluded several parts: a performance, national New Year’s games, songs and awarding the most active students.
The lunar New Year date changes every year. For example, this year it is on February 1, so in countries such as Vietnam, Korea, China, citizens rest and celebrate the onset of spring.
Today more than 120 students from Vietnam, China and Korea study at UTMN. For students from these countries, the celebration of the New Year, as the main national holiday, is an important part of the intangible cultural heritage. Therefore, the University annually holds a holiday for students in order to establish warm friendly ties between Russian and foreign students, as well as the adaptation of the latter to the university and urban environment.
