UTMN: UTMN graduates are Olympic Games champions

Russian skiers won Gold medals in the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

Girls held the golden relay. They showed the best result on the ski trail in the 4×5 km relay. Tatiana Sorina, a graduate of the UTMN Institute of Physical Culture run the third stage.

The triumph was continued by the men’s national team, which included another UTMN graduate Denis Spitsov. Russian skiers won the 4×10 km relay by a large margin, finished ahead of the national teams of Norway and France. For the last time Russians won the relay at the Olympics was in 1980 in Lake Placid.

Earlier, Denis Spitsov took Olympic silver in skiathlon in Beijing.
