Awareness camp on TB on March 24 at OPD 15

ALIGARH : Although the spread of the dreaded disease, Tuberculosis has been curtailed effectively, the world still stands guard to keep an eye on it affecting people at any considerable level. The world’s concern in this regard is reflected through the World TB Day, which is observed on March 24, every year.

To mark this occasion, the Department of TB and Respiratory Diseases, J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing an awareness camp in the OPD 15 of the JNMC from 9 am to 12 noon to spread information regarding the causes of vulnerability to the disease and the preventive measures.

Professor Rakesh Bhargava, Chairperson of the department said that TB patients or their attendants will be provided with adequate information regarding the disease and educational programmes will be conducted by the experts in the awareness camp.

He said that a CME will also be held to upgrade knowledge of the medical professionals, pertaining to the different aspects of TB.
