Ural Federal University: University Graduate Appointed as Bezhitsk Steel Production Association General Director

Sergey Filipiev, a graduate of the Ural Federal University, was appointed General Director of Bezhitsk Steel Production Association. The company’s Board of Directors made such a decision on March 21.

In 1995, Sergey Filipiev graduated from the Ural State Technical University with a degree in Metal Forming. In 2010, he received a second degree at UrFU, majoring in Organization Management. Until 2019 he worked in the structure of United Metallurgical Company. He also had time to work in various positions at Chusovskoy Metallurgical Plant and Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, managed Chusovskoy Metallurgical Plant and Blagoveshchensk Iron and Steel Works.

From 2021 until he joined Bezhitsk Steel Production Association in Bryansk, Sergey Filipiev was the managing director of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Drilling Technology “Drilling Instrument” (Integra Group).

Filipiev succeeded Igor Mochalin, who has been head of the steel plant since 2018.
