Sansad Khel Spardha: Kabbadi, Tug of war competitions organised in Poonch

POONCH : The department of youth services and sports Poonch organised Kabaddi and Tug of war competition here at Higher Secondary School Chandak under the aegis of Sansad Khel Spardha.

District Development Council Chairperson, Tazeem Akther inaugurated the tournament.

In a tight Kabaddi competition, Tigers Club Chandak defeated Dingla Club by 15 points, while Dingla club defeated Tiger Club in Tug of war contest.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Inder Jeet said that the sports activities were being organised in all 11 blocks of the district to promote sports culture among the youth and identify promising talents which forms the main objective of Sansad Khel Spardha.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP, Rohit Baskotra said that the sports play a positive and constructive role in social and psychological development of individuals and enable youth to engage in positive pursuits.

The Principal of the host school, Girdhari Lal, ZEO’s, PEM’s Staff members and a large number of sports lovers, besides nominated members of Sansad Khel Spardha Nichal Sudan,Vishal Sharma,Adrees Ahmed and Sajad Ahmed were also present.
