Ural Federal University: University Presented Master’s Degree Opportunities in Uzbekistan
400 students of Uzbek universities took part in the events of the educational day of the international industrial trade fair “Innoprom. Central Asia” in Tashkent. Victor Koksharov, the Rector of the Ural Federal University, told the participants about the possibilities of the Master’s programs at the Ural Federal University.
“The multicultural environment created at the university allows students from abroad to quickly adapt. At the same time, our university is one of the leaders in the field of employment in the country, with about 3,000 partner organizations that arrange internships for students, and 14 departments created jointly with enterprises,” says Sergey Tushin, Ural Federal University Vice-Rector for International Relations.
The employment of students is also facilitated by major career events and actions of the university, such as “Career Time,” which is part of the projects of the presidential platform “Russia – Land of Opportunities”.
“Among the university’s partners are the largest industrial enterprises and organizations in Russia. Students regularly undergo practical internships at their workplaces. Such cooperation allows UrFU to train young people demanded – more than 90% of graduates are employed immediately after graduation,” said Koksharov during his speech.
Meetings with alumni were held in Tashkent. UrFU will consider a proposal to jointly develop tourism in Uzbekistan, as well as discuss the training of personnel for hotel services and political scientists. Aleksandr Ponomarev, the executive director of the Alumni Association of UPI, USU and UrFU, announced this.
“Farhad Tashtemirov, co-chairman of the board of the representative office of our alumni association in Uzbekistan, offered to develop tourism in this country and train personnel for hotel service together with UrFU. Bakhtiyor Ergashev, director of Ma’no Research Initiatives Center, suggested considering the possibility of training political scientists of Uzbekistan through the Association of Political Scientists,” Ponomarev said, adding that the university is ready to consider these proposals and to start joint projects.
