Amity University, Mumbai VC Prof Dr A W Santhosh Kumar awarded with the “ HumCen- Lifetime Achievement Award-2022” for research achievements and innovation

Prof (Dr.) Aruni Wilson Santhosh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Mumbai, has been selected for prestigious HumCen Lifetime Achievement Award 2022. This award is given for distinguished and exceptional contributions in innovative research. It honours people who influence the society for the betterment through the innovation in the entire career.

On receiving the award, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr A W Santhosh Kumar said, “It is indeed a pleasure to received HumCen Lifetime Achievement Award. I am really happy that I have been associated with HumCen in frosting to the science, technology, and innovation in bringing about many IPR related issues. I am awestruck by the work ethics by HumCen and fostering their indigenous knowledge and support to each and every academia nationally.”

Prof Dr A W Santhosh Kumar has a total of 35 years in academic and administrative experience. He had spearheaded many accreditation (NAAC, NBA, ABET) and academic committees at the national level. His administrative calibre include establishment of new institutions and centres of excellence.

Earlier, he was working in the United States for a period of 16 years and has held various positions such as Dean, Academic affairs, Dean, Accreditations, Co-Director, Inland stem cell consortium, Co-Director, Center for Genomics, Director, STEM program and Professor of Microbiology and Infectious diseases.
